Letters: Old Durango has become a different city

What has happened to Durango? It used to be different. We all lived and worked well together. I don’t remember having a police blotter in the paper. There weren’t jacked-up pickups rolling coal.

It seems a lot people that have chosen to move here have brought with them their politics and lifestyles, changing the entire demographics. This conservative movement goes against what Durango stood for for decades. There were conservatives and not-so-conservatives, but we didn’t try to jam it down others’ throats. We didn’t have anywhere the number of vagrants; we were a working community.
