Durango Coca-Cola Bottling Co. has announced that it has closed a transaction with The Coca-Cola Co, for expanded territory distribution rights.
The bottler has assumed territory in Gallup, N.M. Financial terms were not disclosed. The completion of the acquisition in New Mexico increases Durango Coke’s workforce by 34 employees.
“The Gallup market is part of our history. I was born in Gallup and my father distributed Coca-Cola here in the 50s and 60s. We look forward to serving these communities again,” said Don Mapel, President of Durango Coca-Cola.
The Mapel family has owned and operated the business for more than 75 years.
