Naomi Beans (Letters, Herald, July 9) should keep her ignorant opinions to herself. She admits she doesn’t know either Elaine Hatfield or Mark Redwine yet she is so, so certain who did or didn’t do anything.
The crime is still unsolved, and I’m sure the local police authorities would love to know how Beans is so sure of her opinion. I can only wonder how she would be reacting to similar circumstances if it were her son who was murdered and the killer was still out there. No one, especially Elaine Hatfield, needs Naomi Beans’ respect.
And while we’re at it, shame on the Herald for printing such an ignorant and hurtful letter. Beans’ letter is one that should have been editorially omitted.
