Journey to Chimayo

Ann Sieben endures strong winds and light snow Saturday as she leaves an area near Durango Mountain Resort on her first day of her pilgrimage to El Santuario de Chimayo in New Mexico. Originally a Colorado-based nuclear engineer, Sieben decided seven years ago to go on sabbatical. It was then that she developed an interest in pilgrimages – walks to holy places.
