Bayfield Elementary would like to thank ConocoPhillips for our $2,093 math grant that helped us purchase math manipulatives for our K-3 grade teachers to implement in their classrooms, filling in some educational gaps we have had due to a lack of materials to cover every common core standard. We now have that thanks to ConocoPhillips.
We also were able to purchase a class set of Montessori math manipulatives for our Student Learning Support class, comprised of children with Down’s syndrome or autism. These materials were on loan last year and the teachers observed great benefits with the use of the math materials.
Thanks again for making our math program exactly what children need to help them learn in the best way possible by using hands on discovery learning.
