Tim Barnett and his daughter, Sophia, 11, listen to Savana Henning, a Fort Lewis College senior anthropology major, as she describes a skull and what clues it holds that may have caused its death 30,000 years ago in France as part of the FLC Anthropology Department’s Fossil Forensic Files display on Saturday during a Science Open House event in the Chemistry, Berndt and Sitter Family Hall buildings. Fort Lewis faculty and students from Chemistry, Biology, Physics & Engineering, Geology, Psychology, Anthropology, and Exercise Science presented a walkthrough of interactive demonstrations of scientific ideas and tours of some of the on-campus labs and facilities. Sophia is also the daughter of Abigail Barnett.
