BP personnel and the Los Pinos Fire Department responded to a fire Saturday at a compressor site near U.S. Highway 550 and County Road 318.
The call went out from a BP technician about 2:45 p.m., reporting a well-site compressor fire, BP spokesman Brett Clanton said.
Los Pinos Fire District was called, and BP turned off the gas supply to the compressor.
Firefighters cleared the scene, isolating the well site and shutting in the well head about 6 p.m., he said.
No injuries were reported, and BP will begin an investigation into the incident, he added.
