Bayfield Elementary School presented its 2014-2015 American Citizenship Awards, sponsored by the National Association of Elementary School Principals. The awards were presented by Principal Diane Sallinger and BES School Counselors Jackie Juliana and Rob Stafford on May 19.
Second grade: Avril Rodriquez, Alexander Larson, Kaida Ezzell, Thunder Laner, Emiley Cordova-Rios, Owen Eidem, Anna Vaughn, Neatris Wilbourn, Tanna Owens, Elliot Willie.
Third grade: Meili Lovejoy, Preston Gomez, Katie Killinen, Cody Bales, Kylie Newhall, Rathan Brinkerhoff, Mckenna Noonan, Lucas Foster, Bayleigh Putnam, Brandon Anderson.
Fourth grade: Kori Jenkins, Alexander Sears, Gracelin Naranjo, Gavin Larson, Graylin Furlong, Andrew Monger, Chloe Sarnow, Nathan Sears.
Fifth grade: Lillian Storz, Cael Schaefer, Paige Porter, Jackson Artichoker, Payton Killough, Andrew Peacock, Joy Keen, Royce Hinojosa.
The Presidential Award for Academic Achievement is presented for significant academic growth during fifth grade. It was awarded to Aurelious Diamond, Marco Evangelista, Avah Fellman, Tristan French, Karyssa Gosney, Payton Killough and Ty Prda.
The Presidential Award for Academic Excellence is for students with a 90-percent GPA or higher in both fourth and fifth grade. Recipients this year are Macey Moore and Kobe Prior.
