Mesa Verde National Park will celebrate Wildflower Week June 4-10.
Park staff and volunteers will be available 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 4 and June 7 at the Visitor and Research Center, Wetherill Mesa and Geologic Overlook Trail, and June 9 at the Visitor and Research Center, to help visitors locate the best wildflower areas in the park.
Wildflowers are abundant near Geologic Overlook Trail and along the roadside from Chapin Mesa to Wetherill Mesa. People are reminded to use roadside pullouts, and are not permitted to pick flowers or plants, or enter the park backcountry.
