As we have now learned, as objective fact, social media records show the blame falls on white supremacists using their network of venom-drooling racists to incite rioting. Using out-of-town and out-of-state thugs, they infiltrated the peaceful demonstrations for two major reasons: to make the peaceful protesters look bad to Trump’s faithful followers and to steal what they could sell later.
Make no mistake: The destruction of neighborhoods and locally-owned businesses has been executed at the direction of, and led by, white supremacists.
Which is a reminder to the Herald’s editorial staff. As a publisher, you have a responsibility to weed out blatant conspiracy theories, unlike social media companies that are protected as mere pipelines.
