The annual Native American Winter Arts Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Durango High School, 2390 Main Ave.
The market is sponsored by Durango School District 9-R’s Title VII Native American Education Program.
It will feature music, food, jewelry and crafts.
Teri Nuhn, who works for 9-R’s Title VII program, said this year’s market will feature 58 vendors and will be much bigger than last year’s event.
Nuhn said that 9-R’s program works with 397 Native American students.
Nuhn said there will be many special events and people at the market, including local boxer Thaddine Swift Eagle Johnson, the first Native American to be crowned a world boxing champion. Swift Eagle Johnson will be there signing her books.
