Jared Polis has served his community in Congress for nearly 10 years. Much of his district has strong economic and cultural ties to agriculture and family farming, so it’s no wonder that a lot of Jared’s time in Congress has been spent advocating for Colorado farmers and the growing hemp industry. Jared worked on bills such as the “Industrial Hemp and Water Rights Act”, the “Healthy Fields and Farm Economies Act”, the “Hemp Farming Act of 2018”, and even the “Agricultural Worker Program Act of 2017”. Simply put: Jared Polis has fought for Colorado’s farmers for years, and as governor, he’ll do more to protect our family farms and the agricultural community in Colorado. This November, Jared Polis will go up against Walker Stapleton: a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, who is currently pushing our country into a trade war with countries around the world. President Trump’s trade war has caused countries such as China, Mexico, and Canada to cancel orders on American produce and many nations have increased their own tariffs on American agricultural products, too. Everything from pork to soy beans are getting hit, and Colorado’s farmers are feeling the pain first hand. Jared Polis has always stood up for our farmers and as governor he will fight back against Trump’s anti-farmer tariffs. Elect Jared this November for a governor who will put the needs of Colorado’s farmers before partisan DC politics.
