Knowledge, vision, fairness and determination are key attributes of an effective leader. We are fortunate in La Plata County to be represented by Commissioner Gwen Lachelt who embodies these attributes and more.
Lachelt has demonstrated her ability to work with a variety of stakeholder groups on complex issues facing our county that offer no easy answers.

As Colorado and La Plata County are expected to see significant increases in population in the near future, we need a leader that has the vision, steady hand and perseverance to help guide our community into the future with wise, common-sense planning and governing.
