San Juan College extends stay-at-home order through May 15 and continues online learning format for summer classes, beginning May 25

San Juan College has extended the stay-at-home order for nonessential employees from April 30 to May 15. This decision was made in support of public health and safety, as well as compliance with Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s directive.

The SJC campus will remain closed to visitors and students through May 15 and has canceled all events through that date as well. Graduation ceremonies have been postponed until further notice.

In addition, San Juan College has extended its online learning format for summer semester classes, beginning May 25. The college hopes to begin offering face-to-face classes by June 22, dependent upon recommendations and mandates for social distancing.

Kids Kollege is currently scheduled to begin June 22 with Session 4. The first three Kids Kollege sessions have been canceled. All registrations for these sessions will be fully refunded and families registered for these sessions are being notified through the Kids Kollege online registration system. Young learners will have options for online classes before June 22. Details will be available soon at www.sanjuancollege.edu/kidskollege.

While the campus is currently closed, advisers will be available by phone and online for students to register for summer and fall classes. Students needing additional assistance may call (505) 326-3311 or contact the SJC Student Achievement Center at achievement@sanjuancollege.edu. They should also continue to check their San Juan College emails for information about their class structure, tutoring and other support services.

The college encourages everyone to stay at home and continue to use precautionary and preventive measures to keep our community safe. For a listing of canceled SJC events, as well as COVID-19 resource links and other information, visit www.sanjuancollege.edu/coronavirus.
