McGee Park to host Turkey Bowl

McGee Park will host the 17th annual Turkey Bowl roping event from 9 a.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday in the indoor arena at McGee Park, 41 Road 5568, Farmington.

Friday’s events will begin with sign up at 9 a.m. and roping at 10 a.m. Fees for P1/D2 or D3 are $120 per roper. Participants may enter four times for a total of 12 partners four-steer average. Prizes will be awarded for first through sixth place with prize amounts ranging from $400 to $4,000, with $10,000 going to the highpoint roper.

Saturday’s events will feature youth roping for ages 14 and younger. Sign up will begin at 9 a.m. with roping beginning at 10 a.m. Entry fees are $20 per roper. Buckles will be awarded to first place. The 19 and younger team roping-Junior American Qualifier entry fees are $100 per roper. Fees for P1/D2 or D3 are $120 per roper. Participants may enter four times for a total of 12 partners four-steer average.

Current USTRC or WSTR cards are required.
