50 years ago: PORTLAND, Ore. –“Mrs. Guy Day, 80, prominent pioneer of the San Juan Basin, died in Portland, Oregon, at the home of the Day’s daughter and her husband.”

25 years ago: “Bondad residents concerned about methane contamination in their well water could have something to be thankful for by Thanksgiving. McKenzie Methane Corp. has announced plans to plug and abandon a shallow water-disposal well that residents of Bondad and Cedar Hill, New Mexico, have targeted as a possible cause of the contamination.”
