I’m writing to extend a huge thank you to the wonderful artists and furniture makers throughout the Durango community who made items for KDUR’s Furniture As Art Auction fundraiser held March 5.
KDUR’s largest fundraising event, over 30-artists donate their time and talent to making unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that go up for auction, with all proceeds going to KDUR Radio at Fort Lewis College.
Those artists include: Chris Clemmons; CounterKULTURE; Shannon Cruise; Amy Felker; John Ford; Jeremy and Sunny Gable; Jonas Grushkin; Chris Haas; Tom Hahl and Josh Wolf; Miki Harder; Tom Joyner; Janet Kenna; Noah Leggett; Jack Leggett; Lindsay Mark; Maureen May; Monica McManus; Lisa Pedolsky; Marie Rolfing; Bryan Saren; Noah Stotz; Eric Way; Dan Groth; Becky Turner; Tony Holmquist; Jeff McGarvin; Vanessa Bohaty; Shanti Savage; Deb Morgan; Helen Marshall; Tom Kipp; Jim Ruback; Chayse Romero and Megan Maurillo.
I’d also like to thank all the people who came to the event and to those who purchased art and furniture. This event is a wonderful reflection of the generosity of the community, as well as a showcase of our local talent.
More thanks go out to Calvin and Pat Story of Treasure Auction, Aiden Hall, Good on the Bun Catering, Sabrina Kling, Adela Floral, members of the KDUR board and Durango Art Center.
On behalf of the KDUR staff, the students and volunteers, thank you!
