Durango’s Community Relations Commission to hold listening sessions

The city of Durango’s Community Relations Commission invites the public to attend the first of several listening sessions from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the City Manager’s Conference Room at City Hall, 949 East Second Ave. Light snacks will be provided.

The goal of the listening sessions is to gather community input, stories and reflections about sensitive topics with a specific focus on diversity and discrimination. The CRC will use this feedback to collect data and to direct the commission’s work, including possible diversity education trainings in the community. All voices are welcome.

Additional listening sessions are scheduled for April 16, July 16 and Oct. 16 at various locations. The CRC also holds regularly meetings from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every month at City Hall. Meetings are open to the public.

Comments may also be submitted online at www.DurangoGov.org/CRC or comment forms may be mailed to the Durango Community Relations Commission, 949 East Second Ave., Durango, CO 81301.
