I know it’s late for ideas for the river trail north of 32nd Street. Why not build the river trail on the east side of the river as a hard dirt berm? Access would be limited with a bridge or two, but that might be a good thing. Dirt surfaces are much easier on the body for walking or running and are cheaper to build. The area is exposed enough to dry out quickly after rain or snow. It might be good for cross-country skiing during big winters.
