Neighbors on McElmo Canyon Road are organizing a road cleanup April 6 from Road J to Battle Rock School. Garbage bags, safety vests and lunch will be provided for the volunteers..To register, call Tris Downer at 564-5908.
Volunteer Rail Rangers ride the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad to Silverton and speak to visitors about the Weminuche Wilderness. Rail Rangers have been riding the train for more than 20 years to help visitors understand the region’s public lands. Training, uniforms and name tags are provided.
