Durango Herald Facebook reader Jenny Lynn Heckmann submitted this week’s winning Caption This! headline: “The elf on the shelf is going down.”
The second-place caption was, “Aw, this is purrr-fect, I snuck in here to watch Santa bring me my Christmas presents!” from reader Carol Nelson.
This week’s photo was sent by Doug Mewmaw, who adopted a cat this year and took a picture while it was in a Christmas tree.
