Attorney Robert Dawes received the Steve Bristol Award from the Workers Compensation Education Association.
The association is a Colorado professional organization of lawyers which represents injured workers in their workers compensation claims.
Dawes received the award for his “tireless and outstanding work on behalf of injured workers.” The award is given every two years and was presented to Dawes on Oct. 14 in Denver.
Dawes recently retired from the practice of law. Before his retirement, he was a partner in the Durango law firm of Dawes and Harriss.
