State of Colorado and Compact of Colorado Communities recently recognized eight leading community initiatives in Colorado for leadership in clean energy, including Durango’s Way to Go! Club and Way to Go! Together multi-modal program.
“The Association of Climate Change Officers, on behalf of the Compact of Colorado Communities, is pleased to recognize an important class of bold programs enabling Colorado communities to achieve important clean energy and climate preparedness goals,” Daniel Kreeger, ACCO co-founder and executive director, said in a news release. “These programs are role models for other Colorado communities.”
According to a news release, the award recognizes innovative programs and initiatives in public and private sectors that demonstrate a bold vision for a clean, resilient and prosperous Colorado. They were presented as part of the three-day Colorado Communities Symposium.
