The Animas Valley Grange will present “From Deep Time to Deep Valleys: The Geologic Evolution of the Animas River Valley” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the grange hall, 7271 County Road 203, about 1 mile north of Trimble Hot Springs.
Gary Gianniny, geosciences professor at Fort Lewis College, will put the valley’s recent debris flows into geologic perspective.
The talk is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
