Animas High School to hold student exhibition

Animas High School, in coordination with Alpine Bank, will hold an all-school student exhibition from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Animas High School, 20091 U.S. Highway 160.

Attendees are asked to park their vehicles in the lower dirt lot and walk to the school on the scenic nature trail.

Students will give presentations and engage in activities to show what they learned during the last year. Some examples of work to be showcased include films about genetics, an interactive narrative art exhibit inspired by Meow Wolf that explains “how we know what we know,” cooking demonstrations that show the chemistry of food, a coffeehouse-style open mic about how students connect to the natural world, a library of Spanish children’s books created by students, lighting demonstrations from advanced physics students and live music.

The event is free and open to all.
