The grand opening of Durango Gymnastics will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday at the facility’s location, 144 Bodo Drive. The public is invited to attend the celebration.
The city acquired the building in 2016 and remodeled it to accommodate the growing gymnastics program, which currently serves about 7,000 participants per year.
The new 11,710-square-foot facility will offer all gymnastics programs formerly held at the Mason Center.
Flanagan Architecture designed the renovation and FCI Constructors of Durango acted as general construction contractor, with a total project cost of $2.1 million.
