Traffic backs up on U.S. Highway 550/160 Monday afternoon as construction begins at the DoubleTree Hotel intersection. The Colorado Department of Transportation and Concrete Works of Colorado are working on a five-month redesign of the intersection. It aims to increase safety and lessen traffic congestion.
