“Kilimanjaro: Climbing Africa’s Highest Peak When You’re Past Your Peak” will be the topic of the Life-long Learning Lecture presented by Missy Rodey and Debby Malcom at 7 p.m. Thursday in Room 130, Noble Hall at Fort Lewis College.
Rodey climbed Kilimanjaro when she was 73. Malcom made the trek at 64. Together, they will intertwine their separate experiences in an entertaining presentation that will include background about Africa’s highest mountain, the training needed to make the journey and decisions they made to reach the roof of Africa.
The event is free.
