Brie Stahnke is a quality individual, a compassionate decision maker, a patient listener, and an effective leader fully invested in the Durango community for the long term and dedicated to improving the local education system. She is an amazing mother and engineer. I’ve known Brie for years and value her insights, wisdom, and as a woman working professionally in the sciences, the role model she provides my children. Her emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and math is critical for our children to succeed in today’s world.
Brie brings to the school board the rare ability to break down complex problems into clear, concise, and understandable options, and as a sitting school board member, once re-elected she’ll hit the ground running. As a parent, I think Brie brings a necessary diversity to the school board and an assurance of independent thinking. Rather than putting her energies into building a political career, Brie’s efforts have been aimed at solving problems for our schools.
