Colorado has an excellent opportunity for itself and the nation to elect an attorney general who is progressive, smart, experienced, tough and able to push back against the federal government’s determination to wreak havoc on the environment and the constitution. What I hope becomes the Colorado antidote is the election of Phil Weiser as Colorado Attorney General.
Phil is extremely capable, smart and experienced – he clerked for Justice (Ruth) Ginsberg on the U.S. Supreme Court, was dean of the University of Colorado School of Law and served under Presidents Clinton and Obama, working on complex litigation in the Justice Department and advising on legal issues involving technology.
Phil is a genuine progressive. His dedication to progressive causes such as the environment, immigration, women’s rights, consumer issues and society’s underdogs starts with his upbringing by parents, who were holocaust survivors, and runs through his entire career.
I hope Colorado seizes the opportunity to elect Phil Weiser, a true leader for Colorado and the country.
