Probably it’s just because I’m getting older (much older), but it seems like in La Plata County we’re on a merry-go-round that’s turning faster and faster.
An acceleration and flurry of activity is “bigly” (jocular adverb) inundating our little burg. I sure hope our city and county planning people are coordinating what’s going on here, so bad decisions aren’t made to be regretted later – like not getting the “poop factory” up to sniff (pun intended) before approving all the new building projects.
Want an honest opinion? Ask the long-time locals, not just the “newbies.”
We’re all depending on you guys. There’s a fine line between chasing the “almighty buck” while keeping our quaint charm intact. Our area’s quality of life depends on it.
We don’t want to totally “pave paradise and put up a parking lot” (as Joni Mitchell says).
We need intelligent decisions. Hope you can handle it!
