The Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project will offer these workshops and events:
March 14: Pruning in a historic apple orchard.March 21: Grafting at the Experimental Station in Yellow Jacket.March 28: Grafting at the Old Fort in Hesperus.April 4: Grafting at the Animas Valley Grange.April 25: Spring heritage apple tree sale.June 20: Summer heritage apple tree sale.Oct. 10: Orchard social and fall heritage apple tree sale.Workshops will take place from 10 a.m. to noon. The grafting class is $50 for current MORP members or $60 for nonmembers. The pruning class is free to current MORP members and $30 for nonmembers.
A minimum of 10 participants is required and a maximum of 20 is allowed.
