Basin Co-op truck carrying 700 gallons crashes Monday afternoon
County Road 501 was temporarily closed Monday after a Basin Co-op truck carrying 700 gallons of propane crashed.
County Road 501 near Vallecito Lake was closed for a couple of hours Monday afternoon after a truck carrying propane crashed, according to Colorado State Patrol Capt. Adrian Driscoll.
Driscoll said the Basin Co-op truck, carrying 700 gallons of propane, fell onto its side just before 2 p.m. He said the propane was not leaking, but he did not have any more particulars of the incident immediately available Monday afternoon.
Driscoll said the driver was not injured.
Driscoll said County Road 501 between mile markers 18 and 19 was closed while a hazardous cleanup crew worked at the scene. He said Upper Pine River Fire Protection District and La Plata County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the incident.
