Thanks for the memories

Alex Trlica unloads this year’s Christmas tree Friday at Santa Rita Park with the help of his father, Gerald Trlica of Lubbock, Texas. The city of Durango takes the trees and recycles them into mulch. Residents can drop their natural trees off in the gravel lot south of the large playground until Jan. 31. The service is free.
