Powerhouse Science Center recently added Brian McDonagh to its team as the MakerLab director.
McDonagh will lead the effort to open the MakerLab, the first community “makerspace” in Durango, this summer.
He graduated university in Ireland with a degree in materials and construction technology, and has held tools-and-technology positions at public and private institutions in London, New Zealand and South Korea.
MakerLab is an initiative to create Durango’s first community design, fabrication, prototyping and tinkering facility for artistic, technological and creative pursuits. Members will have access to an electronics lab, 3-D printers, laser cutters, CNC mill, industrial sewing equipment and more.
