I’m taking ethics, truth to the voting box

Brad Blake has done a pretty good job as a county commissioner. I think he gives a voice to many, mostly rural residents. I’m inclined to think he should retain his seat as a county commissioner. But,there are a few things that trouble me.

I was surprised that he never uttered a word of support or defense of a fellow commissioner, during a recall to counter things said by the recall supporters that he knew to be untrue. That bothers me, kind of like watching a co-worker unjustly accused and saying nothing.

Another thing, his party-line reference to man-caused climate change as unsettled science. Really? The only thing unsettled about man-caused climate change is his party’s denial that it exists. Regardless of the car he drives or the renewable energy his company installs, his stance seems a little ingenuous.

In this election, ethics, truthfulness and the environment mean a lot to me. I’ll take that to the voting box.
