Bear Smart to host mountain lion talk, workshop

Bear Smart Durango will host the talk “Mountain Lions Among Us” by Colorado-based wildlife conservationist David Neils, with Wild Nature Media from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave. This event is free to the general public, however, registration is required and space is limited to (108) attendees.

Neils will give a presentation Thursday night and a workshop Friday. Attendees are required to register before the event and space is limited to 15 people. No dogs are allowed.

Living With Wildlife Advisory Board of La Plata County will co-host these events. The talk and workshop are presented by Bear Smart Durango, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the organization. For more information, visit www.BearSmartDurango.org.
