The Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency (4CORE) will present the “EV and Clean Transportation Summit” from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. March 13 at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.
The talk will feature guest speakers Matt Frommer, an electric vehicle transportation expert from Southwest Energy Efficiency Project; Ian Markovitz with Charge Point, the company installing the electric vehicle DC Fast Charge Stations across the state; and Don Irmen with Renewable Energy Group. They will discuss biofuels.
There will be information for fleet managers, city and county officials, businesses and agencies about vehicle conversions and funding opportunities. The Ride and Drive will allow participants to test drive new electric vehicles, and Proterra will bring its electric bus.
The event is free and open to the public.
