It appears to many that the tragic death of Ben Sonntag, professional mountain biker, has been forgotten. No charges have been filed against the driver. He still has his driver’s license, and has had no repercussions for killing Ben.
According to the district attorney, he is waiting for reports from the Colorado State Patrol. Somebody is not doing their job! I encourage each and every one of you to contact the district attorney and Colorado State Patrol regarding this.
I also know there are questions if a toxicology report was done. If not, we all need to question why not. Any time a death has occurred from the result of an accident, a toxicology screen is done. Ben’s family, and his girlfriend, Sarah, deserve answers, and for the sake of the cycling community’s safety, please do your part and contact your DA and Colorado State Patrol for answers.
