Local Cub Scout troops will host Join Nights in August and September for boys and girls interested in scouting.
Boys and girls in the Durango area are invited to learning about the Cub Scout program from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Florida Mesa Elementary, 216 CO-172, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 7 at Viles Park, 245 East Park Ave .
Join Night is a series of Scouting events across the region aimed at new members. Parents will learn about the benefits of scouting, and boys and girls grades kindergarten through fifth grade can get an inside look at what Scouting is all about.
Stop by the events for a fun, interactive packet. Solve the “secret message” for a chance to win a free Cub Scout uniform.
