Anne Schrier displays this year's new exhibit at the Pine River Valley Heritage Society Museum in downtown Bayfield. Her research details the U.S. and European roots of the settlers who arrived in the Pine River Valley in the 1800s and whose descendents still live here today. The museum hosted its grand opening for the 2017 season on Saturday. It is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, or by appointment, through Bayfield Heritage Days on Sept. 30. Admission is free. The museum is located on the corner of Mill and Pearl streets in downtown Bayfield.
