I'm sick of hearing about senseless shootings of innocent people.
On Saturday, the hate crime ended in killing eight Jews and injuring several others, including three police officers. Now President Trump says this kind of action should be given the death penalty.
I like my Old West idea better. Forget the long jail terms before they die and get a few facts as to why, if it was premeditated, and then either have a firing squad take them out or hang them! With all the media coverage, maybe it would make a few other nuts think twice about their actions.
It would free up money to help our returning soldiers with debilitating injuries, and support facilities for mentally ill people who sometimes do these crimes. Why fill our prisons with criminals who won't be released and feed them and give them medical attention, lawyers, etc. for many many years? Use the taxpayers' money more wisely!
I have several friends who would agree with this.
What would it take to return to having a firing squad?
Politicians are gutless when it comes to doing something against the normal way we now do things. We're way too soft on crime.
