The Majesty of Christmas, a concert of traditional to contemporary carols and sacred music, is tonight at 7 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church on E. 3rd Avenue in Durango. It's a presentation of 3rd Avenue Arts. Director C. Scott Hagler promises no Frosty, Santa, or Rudolph songs.
Performers will be Rochelle Mann on flute, soprano Gemma Kavanagh, M. Brent Williams on violin, Linda Mack Berven on piano, tenor Curtis Storm, Kathryn Shaffer on flute, Sandy Kiefer on cello, and the Durango Chamber Singers directed by Elizabeth Crawford. Hagler will accompany and also perform "an organ solo or two for good measure."
Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for age 12 and older, and free for under 12. They can be purchased online at 3rdAveArts.org or at the door if available. For more information, call 903-7427.
