75 years ago: Approximately 100 horses died in southern Montezuma County due to “many poisonous plants in that section.”
50 years ago: Twenty-year-old William Clifton Eagle of Ignacio died after he drove his friends car off the road by accident, and plunged it into Lemon Reservoir, where he sank through 25 feet of water and drowned.
25 years ago: A 70-year-old man was urinating in public in the 900 block of East Second Avenue. Police cited him for indecent exposure and released him.
