Some Pagosa Forest Service Roads remain impassable

All previously-closed National Forest Service roads in the Pagosa Ranger District are now open to motorized travel. However, access may be limited on roads that sustained considerable damage during winter:

Price Lakes Road, Forest Service Road 731, is impassable at the 4.7 mile because of a major failure that will require reconstruction. Until reconstruction is completed, motorized access to the Navajo Peak Trailhead will not be possible.Mosca Road, Forest Service Road 631, also experienced failures in some sections, but is currently passable to high-clearance passenger vehicles. The Horse Creek ATV trail, Forest Service Road 690, is impassable approximately 4 miles from its terminus at West Monument Road, Forest Service Road 630, because of a landslide.Damages to other roads are less extensive, but drivers may encounter rougher-than-normal conditions, impassable river crossings and narrow roadways until maintenance can be performed.
