Lachelt’s first-term accomplishments great

As a former and planned future resident of La Plata County, I urge voters to return Gwen Lachelt as county commissioner for a second term.

Lachelt has achieved much in her first term, and plans to do much more to maintain the county as one of the most desirable places to live in Colorado.

Her list of accomplishments includes:

Protecting our water through the creation of the county’s Water Advisory CommissionEnsuring that the Comprehensive Plan process moves forwardEnsuring that the Hermosa Watershed Protection Act passed in CongressChaired Gov. John Hickenlooper’s Oil and Gas Task Force, in an attempt to strengthen local controlWorking to diversify our local economy – and much more.Lachelt’s dedication to public service and her concern for the future of La Plata County are unquestionable. In the future, her plans include protecting our public lands, improving our infrastructure to create new jobs and a living wage, completing the comprehensive plan and restoring water quality in the Animas River.

Please vote to re-elect County Commissioner Gwen Lachelt!
