The Life-Long Learning Lecture Series at Fort Lewis College will present “The Art of Conducting” at 7 p.m. Thursday. This free presentation will be held in Roshong Recital Hall in Jones Hall at the college, 1000 Rim Drive.
San Juan Symphony Music Director Thomas Heuser will discuss the art of conducting by taking a close look at his personal and professional experiences. Heuser will also explain the history of the modern maestro, provide examples of conducting pedagogy and explore the balance between performance ideals and administration.
