Jennifer Lopez, a housing consultant and staff member with former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, will speak at The Club – La Plata Dems on the Move luncheon from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.
Lopez will discuss “Current Affordable Housing Challenges and Opportunities in La Plata County: Hope on the Horizon.” Lopez is president of a consulting company working on affordable housing projects in the region and across Colorado. She is currently working on the strategic plan for homelessness, a project called “PATH,” funded by La Plata County and the city of Durango.
