The San Juan National Forest’s Junction Creek restroom, located at the Colorado Trail trailhead in Durango, has reopened for the first time since October 2018.
CRC Janitorial Services Inc. has agreed to maintain the bathroom for the 2019 season, allowing the San Juan National Forest to reopen the facility.
The restroom is expected to remain open until early October, when it will be subject to a seasonal closure for the winter. Because of budget cuts, the restroom was slated to be closed unless volunteers were available to maintain and clean it.
