The city of Durango will hold a public meeting about the 2020 budget at 5 p.m. Thursday in Smith Chambers at City Hall, 949 East Second Ave.
Residents can learn more about the city’s budget and budget process. People are encouraged to bring their ideas and suggestions, which will be considered by the city manager and staff during the budget process.
The budget is usually adopted at a City Council meeting in December and goes into effect the first of the year.
Public comments are due by Thursday. To submit ideas for consideration, email citymanager@durangogov.org or mail them to the City Manager’s Office, 949 East Second Ave., Durango, CO 81301.
